#DisruptJ20 anti-Trump inauguration protest marches set for Washington, D.C. and California on January 20th

The time and date are set for the first of many #J20 anti-Trump inauguration marches across the country
The first of at least four #DisruptJ20 organized protest events are set to take place in Los Angeles, California on inauguration day, January 20th, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 800 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90015 at the crossroads of South Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles in front of L.A. Live, under the hashtags of #UnitedAgainstHate and #CAforProgress to protest President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration as President of the United States.

This protest is organized by a group called CA for Progress and is calling for a "United Against Hate-Inauguration March" against President-elect Donald Trump.

At least three other protest marches from an alliance of pro-immigrant rights groups in Los Angeles are also planning to march in downtown Los Angeles all on the same day.

The California Latino Congreso is calling for in inauguration day rally at 1 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Olympic Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles.


A group called the Full Rights for Immigrants Coalition will meet earlier at 10 a.m. on the same corner of Broadway and Olympic for a similar rally.

Chaos is planned for January 20, 2016 on Inauguration Day
In Boyle Heights, an anti-Trump protest rally sponsored by Central CSO will convene at 11 a.m. in Mariachi Plaza, at Boyle Avenue and First Street.

All three L.A. pro-immigrant rights marches are schedule to converge at around 1 p.m. in front of Los Angeles City Hall.

In Long Beach, a rally and march organized by Long Beach Unite Against Trump! is planned at Harvey Milk Promenade Park located on Third Street between Pine Ave. and Long Beach Blvd. from 5 to 8 p.m.

While in Orange County, OC Rise! is scheduling an Inauguration Vigil for Civil Rights to be held on January 20 at the old Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana on 211 W. Santa Ana Blvd. from 5 to 7 p.m. J20 is also organizing a rally at Bristol and McFadden in Santa Ana at 7 p.m. Other events in Orange County, CA is listed on this link.


In addition, the #DisruptJ20 movement is organizing a massive, central protest event in Washington, D.C. on January 20th, at McPherson Square and is planning to go all day in the nation's capitol.
 

The group plans on blocking streets all over Washington starting in the early morning, converging on McPhersn Square at 9 a.m., and assembling at Logan Circle at 10 a.m.
  

The DC Counter-Inaugural Welcoming Committee is organizing a Festival of Resistance beginning at noon at Columbus Circle, in front of Union Station, and plans on marching to McPherson Square by 2 p.m.

A post-election protest march in Los Angeles
In San Francisco, groups calling themselves Jobs with Justice and Bay Rising plan on meeting in Justin Herman Plaza from 8 a.m. to noon and plan on marching to a rally at 555 California Street in front of a Trump property. A group calling themselves Bridge Together Golden Gate plans on blocking the Golden Gate Bridge at 10 a.m. And a massive nighttime rally is planned from 5 - 7 p.m. at the UN Plaza at 355 McAllister Street.

In San Jose, California, a DisruptJ20 rally is scheduled at City Hall at 200 E Santa Clara Street from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A major strike rally is scheduled to shut down the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building on 1301 Clay Street in Oakland, California from 7 - 9 a.m. with a mass rally at noon at Latham Square between Broadway and Telegraph in Oakland. These DisruptJ20 events are not recommended for the faint of heart.


In Palo Alto, a #NotOurPresident rally is scheduled from 5 - 7 p.m. on the corner of El Camino Real and Embarcadero Road.
  

There are various Women's Marches that will be held on January 21st in Madison Park between 9th and Madison Street in Oakland from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Civic Center in San Francisco from 3 - 8 p.m., and City Hall in San Jose from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Violence is intimately associated with any anti-Trump protest
In Sacramento, a group called Not My President is planning to rally at the State Capitol at 1315 10th Street between 2 - 6 p.m. on January 20 and 21st. They also plan to meet up in one of four places in Sacramento at noon beforehand:

1. Sacramento City Quad
2. West Sacramento Transit Terminal
3. McClatchy Park
4. Westlake Park

In San Diego, ResistJ20 plans on holding rallies on January 20th between 9 - 11 a.m. at 9th Street and Broadway, 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. on San Diego State College and Chicano Park, and noon - 4 p.m. on Parkland Boulevard and President's Ways Lawn. Other events in San Diego are listed here.


The events are all fully permitted, and #J20Disrupt organizers are organizing marching bands, drummers, puppets, and vibrant displays of art and culture to show the diversity and power of resistance to Trump's agenda.


All the protest groups are calling for a general strike on the inauguration day, Friday, January 20th. Thus, no work, no school, no shopping, so if you are of the meek of heart, then avoid the areas where the protests are expected to occur because violence and possibly looting are also expected from the more extreme factions of the DisruptJ20 groups.


Undercover, plain-clothes CHP and possibly other municipal undercover police officers are expected to mingle among the crowds, looking to agitate protesters for potential arrests.
  


It's easy to spot them. They'll be wearing bandanas above their ear lines with hoodies covering earpiece radios around their heads even when others in the crowd aren't wearing any bandanas, so be wary. (See video below.)
